Gravatar: Something I haven’t bothered to look into or attempt to understand.
Let me explain. WordPress and Gravatar are connected. You sign up for WP and to get your fancy little picture in your account, you create a gravatar account.
Now, why is it that I, someone who isn’t afraid of navigating the internet and signing up for things, always have problems with Gravatar. I have an account for WP and G. So, why can’t I login to my Gravatar account? (I get the same problems with Disqus as well.)
Whenever I try to log into either platform, I get an Einsteining loop, which involves me trying to log in, only for it to go back to the login page, with no message saying I entered my credentials incorrectly. So, I try again. And again. Then I realize I have entered an Einsteining loop* (I am so coining this term by the way)
What is an Einsteining loop? Let’s use Albert’s words to explain.
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again
and expecting different results.”
The stupidity of it all… I just signed up for a government database account and I haven’t had any issues with accessing what I need. Mind you, that particular database is merely a file repository for people like me to do what I do in my volunteer work. I cannot manipulate anything there, but I was still given access.
And yet, I cannot log into my gravatar.
